Labor Day Downloads Are Early! Another Site Milestone! Paulo & Bryan Reyes Mix-Sets!

This week I'm shouting out to everyone from Minneapolis instead of the typical San Diego/LA arrangement we're used to. One of my favorite places, period! If they can just do something about the cold and the music scene I'd probably still be here!

Well the latter portion is under works, as Scott & Richard of Krave put on the third club event this year, tonight - as Alexander makes his Minnesota debut. It should be a blast and I know I'm excited! Hopefully these tunes will get you excited too!

Also, you may have noticed we launched a blog [ http://circuitcadence.blogspot.com ] as a companion to keep the site company. This is more or less a quick and easy way to publish for the broader internet community, the content of these very facebook messages you've come to get used to.

It's exciting to share that this past week demonstrated such a surge in traffic to our site that we leaped into the 969,249th most popular website on the internet spot (according to Alexa Traffic details). That might not sound very impressive, but 3 months ago we were 2,958,573! People are visiting more frequently and staying longer and that feels great! I encourage any input, feedback, criticism you may be willing to share to further improve the site moving forward!

Finally, we've included two great mix-sets for your enjoyment from DJ Paulo & DJ Bryan Reyes. Don't forget about our anniversary mix-set still hot off its release earlier in the week. In just 4 days the downloads surpassed any other posting to date with even multiple times greater lengths of time to achieve it.

Some of you have noticed that I've been sneaking around the past two weeks like a pregnant teen avoiding her mom until their appearance on Ricki Lake. Don't worry, its nothing sinister (this time), but actually something that I am certain will result in nothing short of pure gay boy glee (you may even find yourself skipping down Madison Ave. on your lunch break)!

The Reason? Believe it or not, this great group I've really enjoyed being a part of, and more specifically - the website which formed out of it's popularity ( http://www.circuitcadence.com ), is turning 6 months old! While I might be too old to celebrate a half-birthday, considering everything that has gone on in the past 6 months with the site, I felt it was a period worthy of commemoration!

Thinking back we've ballooned to a membership of, at the very least, 1300 musically astute and critical members, we've seen staggering download statistics, we've been given exclusive first-release offers by top world DJ talent, we've seen a gradual realization by record labels that there is indeed a correlation between promotional distribution of tracks and the resulting popularity of that song and artist on a mainstream level, and most importantly to me - I've seen a renewed enthusiasm surrounding the music and enjoyment of such on the dance floor, by my friends!

I’ve been lucky enough to be aided by DJ Michael Paul (voted best San Diego DJ in 2009) http://www.facebook.com/djmichaelpaul in creating such a commemoration! What I’ve done is gone back through the stats to determine the “biggest impact” tracks from all of our previous editions of “MOIST” to create a resulting playlist of remarkable “best-of” quality! From there, Michael worked his magic (and trust me its magic! wait till you see how great the list “listens” while playing it, not to mention the fact that I was really insistent on a song or two being included, even though all I had were radio edits, which are hard to work with from a DJ standpoint).

What you are left with is a time-proof, yearbook style, playlist that you’ll love to play now and in a few years while you’re being nostalgic. ;-) Now for your gift to the group, please take this download as an opportunity, go to the group, invite any of your friends that love the circuit (and it’s music first and foremost) and include the link for them as bait, and the rest should be automatic!
